as far as i can remember the events before my "dark ages"...
hmmm....probably sometime in 2005 or early 2006 na ba yun?...i finally get to appreciate an epic novel that is more than a trilogy (fyi: i will not claim i read the LOTR saga coz i did not, d kaya ng powers ko)...for sometime i thought i'm such a lazy reader that the only thick book i can tolerate is ...you guess it right! Harry Potter!...hahaha
but no!...with some great motivation that transcends katamaran...(which i will not discuss in detail coz i'm still in the process of trying to forget, hehe) ...i so thought i found the saga my romantic self is looking for...i wouldn't have thought that there is an epic book that has romance as a main ingredient...it even changed the way i perceive my seemingly though and not so touchy-touchy friends who were avid fans of the book...
in a matter of months...i consumed the first six books as if time is running out...since that time all i do is bum around, i read most of the time (ofcourse tv was still a priority, haha)...i read when theres nothing to do and nothing to watch...i dreamt about the events in the books...for sometime i had a very clear image of the setting constantly in my mind...i shared in the writer's imagination of things...i was genuinely addicted...and i soon was a fan...
but then came other things...of what i couldn't remember...trying to recall now, it was a long wait for book7 (i only borrowed books since i didn't expect to like it...)...if i'd only be honest i'd admit i didn't have the drive to borrow...because it would be soon the dark ages...hahaha....
and so...i, together with a helluva lot of things...intentionally forgot about the book...shutdown that part of my brain and being that seem to like it a lot...and let time make it fade...and amazingly it did...through constant neglect...
...and then...time tests your will...or makes you rethink your might be stupid decisions...in my case, i chance upon an article about the final installment of the series...last part of the trilogy finale...and then i realize...it was stupid of me to forget about the saga...haaaayyyy...i wish i read the next 4 books...i wished i didn't stop being a fan...and now i feel its too late to resume...i forgot about most of the events...i probably have to reread some parts before i continue...and sad thing about that is i don't have a single book of the series...considering the price of books nowadays...the kuripot me would not spend on the whole set...yet...maybe...if another great motivation that transcend kakuriputan comes my way...hahaha...
to end this post...i miss the series...the cheesy love story of richard and kahlan, and the sisters of the light, and a lot of things! wah!...and i learned that it definitely has to be head over heart for a reason...
