Of course! Since everyone seems to be bitten by the olympic bug (well, atleast for the past 2 days...) I have to have an olympic post...
Yes, like everyone I've been waiting for the beijing olympics to start...It started with my fascination with the olympic mega structures...weee....so nice the buildings and so iconic...I discovered then that building proposals includes explanations rooted from chinese culture etc...
And so, I update myself of news re: construction etc...hehe...
And then I anticipate the opening ceremonies with the whole world! (I watched all ~4hrs of it!) It's in china for heaven's sake! origin of the fireworks (?)...and yes, i'm definitely a fireworks fan...
...and then nationalism strikes...i watchfully waited for team philippines to parade...(damn that chinese alphabetical listing...it was exciting though)...and i felt that hunger for an olympic gold...and then the pessimists started bashing the optimists...and i watch the sports events in vain...and envy!...of those countries cheering their hundreds of athletes...hay...while we filipinos wonder and hunger for news about our athletes...
and so...i post now the sched of events we're participating in...(from pex)

I'm still cheering for our athletes...I support them...They sacrificed a lot for these...and indeed they deserve our support...they are olympians for goodness sake!...how many can claim that?
lastly...i commend microsoft for supporting our athletes...and rallying the hard-to-please pinoys to support them...

and you pessimists...look into what you did (or are doing) for your country first before you ruin the morale of us optimists (and nationalists)...and just be proud to be pinoy for a start....
