Last Friday, office-mates and I took a long walk to malugay to check out happy cream puff.
I read about it through a friend's post. And cream puffs being all about custard and sweetness, I had to make an effort to try it. It was quite a longer walk than we expected. But it was okay, I say it's a good break from our claustrophobic work spaces.
I am not so sure of how busy the store can get on peak times but there was practically just us on that afternoon. The staff were patient enough to wait for us to decide on our orders.
My impression was that it was a pick and go place, but I was wrong. They inject custard to pre-made pastries as per order. Thus it took quite some time to assemble a box.
These mini cream puffs were P20 a piece. Generously stuffed with not so sweet custard. The toppings on the pastries adds sweetness and identity to the cream puff. To me, the caramel ones are still the best.
I basked in sweetness, thus I am not really ga-ga for the custard. It was good though, but not THAT good for me to walk to the place again.

I'd be happier with dulcinea's, which i can atually purchase on the way home. This is why I obsess about food finds. You have to do the experiencing so you'll know exactly what you really like. With that, I think I just described 'LIFE' in general too..
