before the internet...i was a bookworm

Yes, i blame the internet for not having enough time to read.

If only time was as before, I might have read hundreds of the books I want to read by now. But all those surfing takes up a huge chunk of my time! I never had an "unread books pile" before. I buy a book I like, I read it, I finish it. But now, my unread books pile gets higher and higher every month. That I guess has something good in it. I still WANT to read. I still buy books to read. The question is will I ever have the time to read them all?

I will not claim that I am such a prolific reader. I am not. Most great and highly acclaimed books bore me to death. I never got to learn to appreciate most non-fiction. And yes I will admit that same as almost everything, I am influenced by pop culture most of the time. It's embarrassing also to admit that my choice of books are not so "academic" or "intellectual" by nature. Reading is for entertainment. So whatever it is that I love or like to read, I will do so without fear of judgment or exams. HAHA. That I guess is why I am not into non-fiction. I've been through hard times with my school books that all they remind me are horrors. So make me read facts and figures and that anxiety of exams attacks. So na-a...I might be interested to read the bestsellers but I hardly ever finish them. haha

Moving on...

These selections are part of what I collect. Despite the dawn of electronic media which includes books, I still opt to buy these:

Harry Potter series

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel

books of Nicholas Sparks

books of Dan Brown

books of Louis Sachar

books of Paulo Coehlo

and currently, books by Ben Sherwood

Hunger Games series

I do have the twilight series but I am undecided if I'll buy The Host. Plus I am not so sure if the twilight series is something good to recommend.

I would wish to complete Adeline Yen Mah's books but I dunno where my other books are...

So far this is all I remember. And these are the ones I plan to complete this year. And most important of all, I want to bring all my lent books home in my bookcase asap. Haha. It's depressing to see incomplete sets. I'm scared they might be lost somewhere.

While trying to end this post, I am reminded that I also have the Narnia books and I want the Pullman books too and 39clues and percy jackson and blah, blah, blah...

Well, yes indeed I still am I guess a bookworm.
