where was I?

Posted by adp on 5:40 PM
What?! I never posted about my Sg trip? My last post was this AI thingy on September?

This is proof that I was really slacking off on posting...as in big time. I can think of 3 reasons for that...1) I was really busy 2) I was really lazy or 3) this whole "social networking" genre is getting in to me.

1) and 2) is self explanatory so let me explain 3)... "Everyone wants an audience" I heard that from someone or somewhere and it made me think of how true it was. Most posts on sites ; status, tweets, blogs are self serving. It's a subtle attempt to get attention. It's mostly "me, me, me". What I do, who I saw, what I ate, where I am or what I think. Lots of I's there eh? Reading my posts, I thought to myself...would I say most of this to someone out loud? Would you randomly blurt out what you feel as of the moment? This revolution of self expression is tricky. To me it challenges my concept of privacy and relationships.

You tend to "group" people in facebook, put them in "circles" in google+ and basically edit yourself on twitter just because anybody can follow you (if you're public that is)

Slowly I am thinking of all these "sharing" as attempts on getting attention. It makes me feel like I'm KSP (kulang sa pansin, papansin, attention grabber) But if I actually do not succumb to such new ways of communication I'd probably alienate myself in no time. I used to be "reserved" believe it or not. And I am well aware that all that changed. Technology was one means of me opening up. Self-analysis and lots and lots of reading is another.

So my point on these post?

Well, I just wanted to share that I am in a dilemma. And right at this moment I decide to continue to be KSP.

Actually, I just had to go somewhere. Hehehe... But I don't want to put this in "drafts" again. I intend to post it and I intend to post a little more frequently from now on. So expect that. Lots of KSP posts coming up...
